David was a United States Air Force Veteran and an elder at the Butler Christian Church. He retired after 25 years as General Manager at Pittsfield and was a member of the Butler Lions Club and Pendleton County Sportsman's Club.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his daughter Tracy Richie.
Survivors include his wife Vickie Courtney Cooper, daughters Shannon Baird and Brandy (Brian) Willenborg, brother Michael (Janet) Cooper, sisters Peggy Browning and Angela (Greg) Poteet, grandchildren Phillip (Kim) Richie, Matthew (Ronni) Richie, Skye (Dylan) Baird, Logan Jones, Colton Willenborg, Jayden Jones, Courtney Baird, Jacob Baird and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11-1pm, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1pm also at the funeral home. David's final resting place will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Butler Lions Club or Butler Christian Church.
