Karen Ann Pyles, 63, of California, KY, passed away on August 24, 2025, at UC Medical Center. She was born on March 6, 1962, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late Thomas Stegman and Frances Pangburn.

Karen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and "Mamaw." She worked at California Marketplace, where she cherished her coworkers and considered them an extension of her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Pyles; her children, Renee (Jordon) Herron, Michael McNay, Kayla McNay, and Shelly Baker; her sisters Connie (Jamie) Pfefferman, Bonita (Wayne) Bevins, and Tracy Boggs; and her eight beloved grandchildren-Nicholas, Nathan, Gavin, Abby, Kinsley, Leightyn, Austin, and Oaklynn-who were the greatest joy of her life

Karen will be remembered for her loving and caring nature, her sense of humor, selflessness, and her generosity. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.

Visitation will be held from 3-5pm, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Leukemia Foundation at [email protected].
