David C. Cory, 60, of Port Carbon, formerly of Minersville, passed away at his home.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri June 4, 1964, he was a son of Anna M. Halulakos, Wyomissing, and the late Paul R. Cory, who passed away 2004. He shared 23 years of marriage with his wife, Diane M. Piccioni Cory, before her death March 16, 2011.

David was a 1982 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. He served in the Navy for three years. Following his military service, he dedicated 26 years to the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. His career continued in customer service for three years and concluded with three years in security.

He was an avid sports fan who especially loved attending Pittsburgh Steelers games and cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers and Cincinnati Reds. He found joy going for hikes and listening to his favorite music. Most importantly, he enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially his four daughters and three grandchildren.

In addition to his father, and wife Diane, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Hoffecker and his stepfather, John Halulakos.

David is survived by four daughters, Ashley Brennan, Jennifer Cory, Brittany, wife of Harold Moll, and Olivia Cory. David is also survived by his sisters, Grace Kintzer and Sharon Cory Meeker as well as his grandchildren, Lucas, Noah, & Sadie Brennan

A private family service will be held. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery.
