Born January 30, 1940, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Harry Marvin and Beulah Mae Smith Crothers, Jane was a life-long resident of this area and graduated from Boston High School. She was employed by Kroger and worked as a cashier and file clerk until her retirement. Jane was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading books by Louis L'Amour and Christian fiction.
Survivors include her children, Linda Sue Borgwardt and Joseph Roger (Carol) Cory Jr., both of Indiana; grandsons, Derick (Ariana) Graf of Virginia, Ben (Emily) Graf of Ohio, and Andy (Brittany) Borgwardt of Indiana; eleven great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Janice Beam.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Roger Cory Sr.; daughter, Nancy Graf; parents; brother, Bob Crothers; and son-in-law, Kent Borgwardt.
A Celebration of Life for Mary Jane Cory will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3469 Hillcrest Road, Richmond, IN 47374.
