RICHMOND, IN– Marilyn A. Bramhall, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Reid Health.

Born March 13, 1933, in Logansport, Indiana, to Earl H. and Hilda Wolller Dowell, Marilyn lived in Richmond most of her life. She was a 1951 graduate of Richmond High School and a 1954 graduate of Reid Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Marilyn married John "Bud" Bramhall June 18, 1955, and they were married for 65 years before his death in 2021. She retired from Reid Hospital in 1980 after 26 years working as an RN in Pediatrics. In her younger years, Marlyn loved to sew. Later in life she and her husband would attend auctions, and she had an eye for decorating. She also had an eye for collecting unusual items that she would incorporate into her decorating. Those items would always find a place in her home.

Survivors include her daughter, Holly Paxton of Fishers, IN; niece, Laura Bramhall (Joe) O'Mera of Glenview, IL; nephew, Robert Bramhall of Glenview, IL; cousins, Cherie Stevenson and Kay Faulkner, Fort Smith AR; Patricia Mitchell of Omaha, NE; Earl (Julie) Woller of Urbana, IL; Jerry (Marilyn) Woller of St. Joe, IL; Amy Martin of Urbana, IL; Virgie Roberts of Urbana, IL; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Bud" Bramhall; son in law, Phillip W. Paxton; and her parents.

The family would like to thank the Reid Hospice Team including Dr O'Leary, Julie, Meagan, Paige, and Brooke; along with her special friends Sheryl Glenn and Rebecca Wertemberger for their time and compassion to Marilyn over her life.

Services for Marilyn A. Bramhall will be private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the First English Lutheran Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reid Foundation for the Hospice Program, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374 or First English Lutheran Church, Technology Program, 2727 East Main St., Richmond, IN 47374.

Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home.
