David Charles Costello, born on May 29, 1946, in San Francisco, California, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. He was 79 years old.
David was the beloved son of the late Clyde and Frances Costello. He served his country with pride and distinction as a member of the United States Navy. Following his service, he dedicated many years to the United States Postal Service, where he worked diligently until his retirement.
In his leisure time, David found joy on the golf course, where he spent countless hours perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golf enthusiasts.
David is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Tony Costello of Perth, Canada, and his dear friend, Linda Stewart of Thomasville, who will both cherish his memory.
A celebration of David's life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived. David will be remembered for his dedication, service, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those who knew him.
