David Patrick Croucher, age 58, of Binghamton, NY passed away on July 10th 2025 surrounded by family, after a hard fought battle with his health.
He was born on March 17th 1967 in Johnson City. He spent his life working hard, cracking jokes, and sharing his love of art and music with his family and friends. He was a landlord, a problem solver, a man who could fix just about anything, and the kind of person who'd give you the shirt off his back (even if he grumbled a little about it).
Dave ran a small rental business on his property, what he called the mountain, with tenants that he considered family - and while the work never really ended, he still found time for family and small projects that he loved to share with others.
He is survived by his father Jack Croucher, his daughters Jenna Smith and Sara Kurtz, and his grandchildren Jackford McLain Smith, Brianna Wood, Kayla Kurtz, and Dominic Brown. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Croucher and his youngest daughter Marrah Campbell, may they rest in peace together.
A memorial party will be held on August 30th at his house at 3:00pm, with a ceremony at 5:00pm. If you knew him you probably have a story - bring it with you.
We'll miss his stubborn heart, his dry humor, and the way he always showed up - in his own way. Instead of flowers, the family asks that you raise a toast in his honor and hopefully can make it to celebrate. As he would say, party on.
