James Wescott Obituary
Jim was a veteran of the United States Army. After his military service he returned to work at IBM and became a member of their Quarter Century Club. He then volunteered at STAP and was an integral part in bringing the AIDS quilt to Broome County to display at various churches, synagogues and Binghamton University to build an awareness and understanding of AIDS.
He is survived by his sister, Ruth Rudball and his beloved nieces/nephews Lisa (Mark), Laura (Roger), Ted (Melissa) and Bob (Lisa) great nieces/nephews Holly (Thom), Rebeccah, Mary (Andy), Roger (Marisa), Karra (Eric), Cheyanne, and Zechariah and 6 great great nieces/nephews (Mina, Quinn, Jayde, Syrius, Harlem, Elija as well as his good friend Joseph Cumbo.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Barber Memorial Home, 428 Main Street, Johnson City, with Pastor Rachel Helgeson officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am with the service following at 12:30pm.

Sorry to hear of Jim's demise. I remember Jim helping me when I was learning programming at IBM. 87 is a good run Buddy.
