David was born in Commerce, TX to Jim Sam Dalton and Thelma Pearl Blundel on March 6, 1950.
Survivors include his wife; Valerie Dawn Dalton and his children; Melissa Gayle Baldwin (Tim), Shawn Davis Dalton, Thomas Jim Dalton, Rebecca Amber Boyles (Micheal), and stepson; Donavon Dewayne Daniel (Kristina), sister; Nelda Ruth Meyers and brother; Thomas Jim Dalton, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister; Donnie Sue Miller.
David was a long-haul driver and a cowboy at heart. A believer in Christ.
In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or donate to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association, or Trucker's Final Mile Home.
