David Mack Densley 1945 – 2025
Mack Densley, 80, passed away in the early hours of September 9, 2025, in Magna, Utah.
Mack was born on February 18, 1945, to Joseph Le Verl and Lola Holt Densley. He grew up in Garfield and Magna, Utah, and graduated from Cyprus High School.
Mack married Linda Anne Taylor on November 3, 1962, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1976. Together, they raised two sons, Eric and Bryan. Linda preceded him in death on August 25, 2021. Mack found companionship again and was blessed to marry Peggy Johnson on March 30, 2024.
Mack built his career with the Trane Company until 1987 and continued working in commercial sales with several companies, including Lowe’s and True Value, until his retirement.
Mack had a love for trap shooting, hunting, golfing, camping, and fishing. He traveled to Alaska for two fishing trips with his sons, family, and friends. The annual family deer camp in Nephi was among his most cherished traditions. He enjoyed watching all things sports on TV as well as a wide range of movies. The grandkids could not visit without raiding his stash of goodies on the side of his recliner chair. He loved to tinker in his yard, home, garage, and garden.
Mack was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served faithfully in numerous callings, including as Bishop. Later in life, he and Linda also served two senior service missions together.
Mack will be remembered for his quiet strength, his humor, his love for family, and his faith.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; son, Bryan (Brenda) Densley; daughter-in-law, Wendy Densley; grandchildren; Jessyca (Mike) Wyant, Aaron Densley, Paige (Eric) Lowe and Shelby Densley (Trevor); 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Brent (Deborah) Taylor; sister-in-law, Sydney Taylor; many nieces and nephews and his special fur baby Tink.
After Mack’s union with Peggy, he gained and is also survived by his bonus children: Angi (Jim) Brusatto; Matthew (Angela) Johnson; Michael (Amanda Lee) Johnson; Marcus (Bekie) Johnson; Amanda (Bob) Carroll and Ashley (Shawn) Nicholson. As well as many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mack was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; son, Eric; parents, Joe and Lola; brother, Jerry; in-laws, Henry and Shirley Taylor; and brother-in-law, John Taylor.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Peel Funeral Home in Magna, Utah. 8525 W Magna Main St., Magna UT 84044
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah. 1200 N. 400 E., Nephi, UT 86468.
