David DeRaps Obituary
David Gary DeRaps age 81 of Clermont, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at his daughters’ residence in Rocky Mount while visiting. He was born on February 9, 1941 a son of the late Elias Harold and Celia Landers DeRaps. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a HVAC Pipe Welder by trade. David was a hardworking and strong man that provided for his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn McKenna DeRaps; his children, Christine DeRaps, Rocky Mount, Merideth Brown (Joel), Cross Plains, TN, and Michael DeRaps (Tonya), Bristol, VA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Kriston, Cherie Dale, and Michelle “Mickey” Blais. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date and his inurnment will take place in Maine.
