David Keith Dethrow, age 61, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on August 7, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on April 4, 1964, to Gerald Floyd Dethrow and Mary Laverne (Gregory) Dethrow.
David attended school in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and was a life-long resident of Pottawatomie County. He was a hard worker and made a living in construction work and landscaping. He married Melissa Brown, and they had four children.
David loved spending time with his nine grandchildren. He also loved caring for his game chickens. He always put others before himself and liked to help anyone in need.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mary Dethrow; daughter, Arianna “Anna” Danielle Dethrow; sister, Donna Lynn Dethrow; and ex-wife, Melissa (Brown) Dethrow.
Loving survivors are his children: Zachary David Dethrow, Tyler Keith Dethrow, and Leighton Macaia Dethrow; sister, Dana Sue Dodson and husband, Jerry; brothers, Darrell Floyd Dethrow and Donnie Lee Dethrow; grandchildren: Zachary David Jr., Nahla Rhea, Aaliyah Jean, Raelyann Kay, Ruby Dawn, Rylie Arianna, Autumn Sky, Syla Ann, and Danielle Nicole; other family members and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church, 36305 Lake Rd., Bethel Acres, Oklahoma.
