Jimmy Dethrow, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, at the age of 72. He was born to Dale and Norma Dethrow (nee Holmes) on March 15, 1952.
He was the proud father of two daughters, who were the light of his life, and a loving grandfather to eight grandchildren, each of whom he adored immensely. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren grow, and passing along the wisdom he gained throughout his life.
A man of music, Jimmy found his rhythm in the bass guitar. His love for playing was a reflection of his soulful spirit. His music was not just a hobby but a lifelong passion that connected him to others in profound ways.
Sobriety was a cornerstone of his life, a journey that he embraced with courage and commitment. He was very proud of this achievement and was always there to offer support and guidance to anyone struggling on their own path.
In addition to his musical talents, Jimmy was a skilled handyman, able to fix just about anything. He was always helping others, often without a second thought. His ability to solve problems and his generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his three siblings, who cherished his strength, humor, and kindness. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
