David Dispoto, Sr.
"Beloved husband, father, grandfather & brother"
David Dispoto, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, surrounded by love and comfort. David was the loving husband of Diana (Zibello) Dispoto for 62 years.
David was born on July 22, 1940, in Waterbury, CT, to Joseph and Antoinette (Barbieri) Dispoto. He grew up on Morro Street in Oakville, where the memories of his childhood shaped the hardworking values and integrity that he carried with him throughout his life. David was well-known for his selflessness, always ready to put everything aside to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need.
David proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He went on to build a long career with CL&P and Yankee Gas, where he worked until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest joy came from the time spent with his three beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Diana, David is survived by his son, David Dispoto, Jr., and his wife, Gloria, of Watertown; his three cherished grandchildren, Gabriel, Benjamin, and Maxwell Dispoto; his sister, Frances Gee of Watertown; his loyal four-legged granddog, Penny and great granddog Baylen.
