David "Dosh" Herschel Dobbins passed away March 14, 2024, after a very sudden decline in health at the age of 68.
David was preceded in death by his father, William Herschel Dobbins; his mother, Sadie Lorene Dobbins; and his two brothers, William Billy Dobbins and Gary Dobbins. He is survived by his loving children: daughter Kelli (Shawn) Hasley, son DJ Dobbins, daughter Ciera Dobbins, and son Jacob Dobbins.
David was born October 29, 1955, to Herschel and Lorene Dobbins in Nashville. He was the youngest of three brothers to Billy and Gary Dobbins. After David graduated from John Overton High School in 1973, David and his partner, John Blanks, opened their business Paint and Body Perfectors in 1978. Dedicated to his work, he held great relationships with his employees and had a true passion for cars. In his younger years, he spent many weekends at the races. He also loved things like attending car shows, working on his 1937 Chevrolet, repairing wrecked cars, fishing, and watching sports.
His greatest love in his life was his children. David was a devoted and loving father to his 4 children. His support for his kids was something that was noticed by all who encountered him. He will be remembered for all the heart and love he shared with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 4:00.– 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.
