In the early morning of January 2, 2025, David "Dave" Dobbins, 63, beloved father and brother, of New Egypt, succumbed to his lengthy battle with essential thrombocythemia and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
He is survived by his loving children Courtney Wyckoff (nee. Dobbins), 26, and Aidan Dobbins, 22. Other family members include his Uncle Bill Marinella, his sisters Helene Armstrong and Debbie Love, and his brother Keith Dobbins. There are also numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, great nieces and nephews, cousins, a son-in-law, and loving friends who felt like family.
To those who drove him to countless oncology appointments and worked behind the scenes, thank you so much for your tireless dedication and support in this critical time. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that instead a small donation be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society (LLS) in David's name that would be equivalent to the cost of flowers for further research to be made on blood mutations and AML and its successful treatment. David would also want everyone to spend as much time as they possibly could with their loved ones and to make sure that they know they are loved every day.
David was loved by many and he dedicated his life to his children. He dedicated many years to Ralph Clayton & Sons (Clayton Concrete) and worked his hardest to be in the position that he had. He made a better life for himself and his family despite all the odds against him. He enjoyed going to the dirt bike tracks with his son to watch him ride; going out to eat with his daughter, son-in-law, son, his son's girlfriend, and siblings; reading anything he possibly could to expand his knowledge and worldview; sending his children philosophical YouTube reels; walking and hiking on local trails; being in nature; and traveling with his children. He will truly be missed.
A visitation will be held Saturday January 11, 2025 from 10 AM- 12 PM for family and close friends at Perinchief Chapels in Mount Holly, NJ, 438 High Street, Mount Holly, NJ, 08060. Services for David will follow the visitation at 12pm at Perinchief Chapels.
