David J. Dohn, 72, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Born on Valentine's Day in 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri, David was the son of the late Valitine and Laura (Runge) Dohn. After graduating high school, he pursued his studies at DeVry University and went on to build a long and steady career with Xerox, where he worked for 43 years before retiring.

On May 25, 1990, David married Karen Bailey in Buchanan, beginning a life together marked by quiet devotion and shared joys. He was a simple man who found contentment in the everyday, time spent at home with family, walks in the woods, admiring the trees, and working with his hands in his woodshop.

David is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his children, Stephanie Dohn, David (Krista) Dohn Jr., and Marcus Dohn; seven cherished grandchildren; and his sister, Valerie Strand. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his appreciation for nature, and the quiet strength he brought to those around him.

In keeping with David's wishes cremation will take place and no services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home – Hoven Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in David's honor to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
