DORRELL – David Michael Dorrell, age 48 of Dacula, GA, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 5, 2025 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Cason, Dr. Michael Dickens, and Rev. Leon Mullinax officiating. Interment will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens, 793 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, GA, with Rev. Matthew Calvert officiating. David was a carpenter by trade and loved working with wood. David was an ordained Deacon and served as a Sunday School teacher and song leader where he was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He loved going to church and spending time with family and friends. David enjoyed cooking, fishing, music, and sports. He had a love/hate relationship with working on cars. He also loved disc golf and his favorite show, Andy Griffith. David had persevered through 6 open heart surgeries and lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Robert Dorrell, and brother, Greg Dorrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jennifer Dorrell of Dacula, GA; son & girlfriend, Lane Dorrell and Hanna Calvert of Dacula, GA; daughter & boyfriend, Morgan Dorrell and Jarrett Wallace of Dacula, GA; mother, Elizabeth Louise Dorrell of Auburn, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Heidi and Dwight Garrett of Auburn, GA; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Rev. Leon and Brenda Mullinax of Dacula, GA; sister-in-law, Missy Dorrell of Dacula, GA; nieces & nephews, Trey, Bethany, Ariel, Carly, Cammie, Dylan, Emma, and Brantley; and his FAVORITE child, his dog Rambo "Bo". The family will receive friends 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-962-3100.
