David Drenk, 70, of Highland Park, Illinois, passed away February 18, 2024. Loving father to Lilly Drenk the Cat; adoring great-uncle to Dakota Robert Drenk and most loved uncle to Dustin Nicholas Drenk and Dylan Henley Drenk; dear brother of Douglas Drenk and brother-in-law of Billie Drenk; beloved nephew of Marguerite C. DeGraw and cousin to Evy Liska and Wayne Liska; cherished associate and friend of Drake James Leoris, Jr., Leoris & Cohen, P.C.; beloved chosen family member of Richard Korengold, Nicole Y. Hopper, and Michele A. Suris-Rosene; and a committed and valued member of the recovery community. David graduated from the law program at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a bachelor's in science in 1980, he graduated from DePaul University with his Juris Doctorate in 1983, and was a practicing attorney for over 30 years at Leoris & Cohen, P.C. David was always of service to those from all walks of life. He persevered through trials and tribulations in his early life and used his experiences to help others who were suffering. He lived his life in faith and gave freely to anyone in need. David will be greatly missed but he will never be far from the hearts of all he touched.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL 60035, with Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

David was a kind, caring and generous man who helped so many people in his lifetime and opened up his home to many people in need including my son. He will be missed by many people.
