Robert H. Daily

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert H. Daily, age 88, on March 9, 2026. Bob was known for his humor, intelligence, and ability to connect with others.

Born June 12,1937 in Chicago and raised in Skokie, he graduated from St. George High School in 1955 and the University of Notre Dame in 1959 with a degree in Business Administration. He worked briefly at Ford Motor Company before starting a career as a Manufacturer's Representative in the electrical industry, eventually founding R.H. Daily Lighting (later Chicago Lighting Services), which he sold in 1998. Bob served as President of the National Electrical Manufacturers Representative Association (1998-99). In 1998, he was awarded the Electric Golf Club Man of the Year Award and in 2005 he received the Saint George High School Alumni Association Man of the Year Award.

Bob helped establish the opening of Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep High School in Waukegan, IL in 2004. Through its Work Study Program, Cristo Rey supports more than four hundred underprivileged students, many of whom go on to earn a 4-year college degree.

Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Lennon), whom he married in 1960; his two sons, Robert (Jeff) and Timothy (Teresa); and his granddaughters, Morgan and Mackenzie.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the funeral mass starting at 12:00 PM at St. Patrick Church (New) - 928 W Everett Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL
