Lewis Wayne Daily, affectionately known as Wayne to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, in Garland, Texas. Born on May 8,1946, in Greenville, Texas, Wayne's life was a testament of his faith, to the power of kindness, humor, and dedication.

Wayne was a devoted family man, cherished by his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda Daily. Their enduring love story began in childhood and blossomed into a partnership of mutual respect and adoration. Wayne's legacy is carried on through his loving daughter Monica Daily, his caring son-in-law Andrew Richardson, and his adored grandchildren, Lauren and Anna Richardson. His life was enriched by the close bonds he shared with his brother Larry Daily and the fond memories of his late parents, Orvin and Glydene Daily, his daughter Beneva Richardson, and his siblings, Bill Daily and Carol June Bleeker. Wayne was very fond of his pets Taco and Barbie.

Wayne dedicated his life to the field of banking, including as an instructor at the American Institute of Banking, and later to a career in security. He was highly regarded for his unwavering commitment to serve and help others. His colleagues respected him for his integrity and professionalism.

Wayne served in the Army National Guard of Texas, as a volunteer officer for the Dallas County Constable's office, and was a member of the Gideons of Texas.

Beyond his work, Wayne was a man of many passions. His great sense of humor and talent for storytelling made him the heart of any gathering. He never met a stranger and loved helping and serving others. Wayne also found joy in gardening, watching football, and making people laugh.

His attentiveness and words of wisdom was a comfort to many, and his presence will be deeply missed.
