David Dronebarger Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 1, 2025.
David H. Dronebarger Jr, 66, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Laurels in Mt. Vernon, OH.
Dave was born on March 29, 1959, in Wadsworth, OH, to David and Doris June (Bennett) Dronebarger Sr.
The oldest of 4 children, Dave graduated from Northmor High School, Galion, OH in 1977. He married Diane Zody on May 15, 1993.
David spent most of his life working as a skilled carpenter. Before retiring in 2025, he worked at Walmart, where he received his 15-year service award just before passing.
Dave loved to fish and spent his spare time fishing at Knox Lake or going on a charter boat at Lake Erie with his father. He loved nature and would forage the area for wild mushrooms, ramps, wild onions, or whatever nature had to offer. He had a green thumb and spent time landscaping his yard with beautiful flowering plants, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
David is survived by his father, David Dronebarger Sr. (Lexington), sisters Terri Lee (Whitehall), Tammi Slone (Mt Gilead) and Michelle Dronebarger, (Inverness, FL), step-children Adam Beck, Christina Hoover, and Aaron Beck, sons Joshua and Justin Dronebarger, grandchildren, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris "June" Dronebarger, wife, Diane (Zody) Dronebarger, brother-in-law, Kevin Lee, niece, Noelle Conklin, and granddaughter, Sydney Beck.
David will be remembered for his big smile, love for his wife and family, and the courage and determination to "fight cancer".
David's wish is to be cremated and his ashes returned to the earth.
