Shirley Gray Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 5, 2025.
Shirley Gray, 68, of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. She was born on February 5, 1957, to the late David Eberhardt and Janet Cline.
Shirley found joy in the simple things in life. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Nascar fan and could always be found cheering on her team or car on game day. Music was another great love of hers, and there was rarely a day that went by without it playing throughout her home. Tom Petty and Garth Brooks were a few of her favorite artists, and their songs brought her so much happiness through the years.
Shirley and her husband, Bob, shared 50 wonderful years together. They loved taking weekend trips to Hocking Hills to enjoy nature and relax, and visiting Lake Erie whenever they had the chance. Whether at home or away, Shirley's favorite moments were those spent with her family. She has worn many titles throughout her life, but most important to her were wife, mom and grandma, and her family will forever treasure the love and laughter she brought into their lives.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gray;step-father Maurice Cline; children, Brian Gray and Karri (Bruce) Daubenmier; grandchildren, Logan Daubenmier and Tre Flowers; and siblings, David (Theresa) Eberhardt and Pam Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date to honor and remember Shirley's life and the many wonderful memories shared with her.
