David N. Eckman, age 64, of Springettsbury Township, passed away on May 27, 2025 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Jennifer L. (Campbell) Eckman; together they shared 32 years of marriage.
David was born in York, PA on December 14, 1960 and was the son of Joel and Ann (Christensen) Eckman. He graduated from York VoTech Class of 1978 and served as a professional firefighter for York Area United Fire & Rescue for over 29 years prior to his retirement. Dave was heavily involved in the York County community. He served as the President of the South Central Pennsylvania Softball League (SCPAS) for over 15 years, and during that time was a dedicated coach recreationally and for the Central York School District JV and Varsity teams. He also was a proud supporter of the Central York Music Program as a band parent and volunteer. Dave was a lifelong ham radio enthusiast, Bruce Springsteen fanatic, and was a proud wearer of his "What a Difference a Dave Makes" hat.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, Dave is survived by his daughters Janelle Eckman and Hannah Eckman; his brother Daniel Eckman and wife Anne; and his niece Kate Eckman.

Eckman Family:
I was on vacation out of state and just heard of Dave´s passing. I am sorry to hear this and extend my deepest sympathies to you all. I worked with Dave on the board of the PA Professional Fire Fighters for quite a few years. He was always good to work with. I hope your memories will bring some comfort to you during this difficult time. Rest in peace Brother Eckman.
