David H. Eick, born on August 19, 1952, at Aultman Hospital, passed away on April 5, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 72 years old.
David is survived by his loving mother, Doloris J. (Rush) Thompson of Sherrodsville; children, Andrew Eick (Amy) of Dover, Tracy Eick of Bolivar; and David H. Eick II (Melanie) of Sherrodsville; his grandchildren, Taylor Eick, Tyler Eick, Josie Eick, and Molly Eick; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Deborah Beaber and Allan Eick.
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer D. Eick, and his sisters, Gloria Shuman and Cathy Beaber.
A proud NRA certified gun instructor, David was an avid shooter who enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passion with others. His career working in sales spanned many years, and he truly loved the work he didit was more than a job; it was his calling.
David had a love for Corvettes, dogs, and the simple joys in life. His Christian faith was central to who he was, and he loved the Lord with all his heart. In recent years, he shared a meaningful companionship and close friendship with Jenn Castilow Waters, whom he cared for deeply.
Per his wishes, David will be cremated with no formal services. Arrangements are being handled by Heritage Cremation and Burial Society in Louisville, Ohio.
He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
