David Christopher Eilers

David Eiler was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He had a lifelong passion for planes, trains, space, and weather. David proudly served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. Though he was never deployed, he always said with a grin that he was "bags packed, ready to roll." His service, humor, and steady spirit left a mark on all who knew him. David loved museums and history, especially aviation. He volunteered as a guide at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, sharing his knowledge with visitors. David found joy in community and celebration. Each September, he celebrated his birthday at the Plano Balloon Festival, joking that the balloons were in his honor. He also enjoyed Irish music and square dancing-where he first met his beloved partner, Janice Moehring. He was known for his humor, always ready with a joke oratory to bring a smile. His love extended to animals, especially his companions Pipper, Windy, and Pearl. David will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, laughed often, and shared his passions freely. His kindness, knowledge, and joyful spirit will be missed by all who were blessed to know him
