DAVID H. FARRIS

DAVID HOWARD FARRIS, age 77, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, departed this life at his residence on Sunday, December 7, 2025, following an extended illness with his loving family at his side singing Jesus Loves me. Mr. Farris was born in Winchester, Tenn., to the late Floyd Jessie Farris and Irene Hill Farris on December 22, 1947. He was a 1967 graduate of Franklin County High School. After High School he served in the U.S. Army and did his basic training at Ft. Campbell, KY and then was stationed at Ft. Polk, LA. After his tour of duty he was employed at the former Franklin County Hospital as an X-Ray Technician for two years and then was hired to work at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma and was employed there 24 years and retired. After his retirement he worked with his son doing Masonry work until his health wouldn't allow him to work any longer. Mr. Farris last attended The Journey Church in Winchester. He enjoyed fishing and hunting arrowheads. Mr. Farris will be remembered by all who knew him as a quiet, kind and generous man.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Farris was preceded in death by his siblings; Elaine Tinnel, Eddie Farris, Mark Farris and Molly Farris.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Farris of Estill Springs, Tenn., Children; Stacy (Cassie) Farris, of Winchester, Pamela (Bryan) Hill, of Pelham, Tenn., Jonathan (Kia) Farris of Winchester, Tenn., Bonus Son, Troy (Stephanie) Mann of Cope, SC. Brothers; Rex (Brenda) Farris of Winchester, Tenn., Carl (Cathy) Farris of Decherd, Tenn., Michael Farris of Winchester, Dale (Sherry) Farris of Kingston, Tenn. and Doris King of Sherwood. 8-Grandchildren; David Bennett, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tristan and Trace Farris both of Decherd, Tenn., Jacob Hill of Pelham, Dawson Farris of Winchester, Audrey Hill of Nashville, Alexis Layne of Monteagle, Harley Beachy of Belvidere, step-grandchildren, William Lee of Huntland, Brodie Lee of Tullahoma and Ronnie Lee of Winchester and 6-Great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2025 in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, LLC with Pastor Marion Pope, officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 on Friday.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Huntland.
