David Joseph Fausone, Sr. peacefully went to heaven on February 22, 2025 at his home. Born March 30, 1945 to Joseph David and Agnes Rose Fausone in Detroit, Michigan, David married the love of his life in 1965, Ann Louise Blouse.
Together they built a beautiful life. After over 60 years, they still gave each other love letters and enjoyed nothing more than holding hands while sitting on the couch watching T.V. and the birds at the feeder out their front window. David was a brilliant man who chose to quietly live by example. Trained as a toolmaker, he quickly moved up the ranks at Chrysler Motor Company becoming Area Manager. In the 1970s David traveled around the country setting up the first automated robotics lines for Chrysler. He retired from Chrysler after 44 years.
Working most of the time 7 days a week, David still found time to be an active part of his children's lives, coaching softball and shooting sports for the local 4-H youth group, taking care of his daughter's many treasured pets, gardening, swimming, hunting, fishing, and spending time on his 15 acres in Cottrellville, Michigan. He taught his children the value of honesty, hard work, kindness, and dedication. Even in his twilight years, he always had a to do list, wanting to continue to live, be active, and create a home for those he loved.
David is survived by his family: his wife of 60 years, Ann, his children-sons Joseph Sr. and David Jr., his "favorite" daughter Lisa Jerry, as well as his daughters-in-law Leslie and Amy Fausone, and son-in-law Gerald Jerry Jr. His legacy will be carried forth and honored by his grandchildren Joseph Fausone Jr., Gerald (JJ) Jerry III, and Lilian Fausone. David will also be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews and a wonderful loud, loving Italian family.
He was predeceased by his parents and beloved sister Julia.
His family was beyond blessed to be given the gift of such an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. David always put his family first. They are grateful for the time they were given together and look forward to meeting again when God brings them all home.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial-Bower Rose Funeral Home 222 North Main Street, Marine City, Michigan 48039.
