Linda Ruth Ferguson, a beacon of generosity and creativity, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on January 9, 1957, in Detroit, MI, Linda's life was a tapestry woven with love, selflessness, and the joy of simple pleasures.

Linda's journey began as the cherished daughter of Irvin and Virginia Harris, whose guidance and love shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. Though her parents predeceased her, their influence was evident in Linda's every action and the warm home she created for her own family. She was the heart of her family, survived by her loving husband, Edward Jay Ferguson Jr. (EJay), with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they raised a son, Edward Jay Ferguson III (Jay), who, alongside his wife Beth, continued the legacy of love and family that Linda held so dear. Her granddaughter, Sophia Ferguson, was the light of her life, and Linda's eyes sparkled brightest when she was sharing time with Sophia.

Linda's siblings, Bobbie Koczak (Brian), Rosie Edwards (Rob), John Harris (Gina), and Jody Harris (Sharon), will remember her as the glue that bound them together, a sister who was always ready with a helping hand or a word of encouragement. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and the memories they created will be treasured forever.

A woman of many interests, Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the beach, where she could be found taking long walks and looking for Petoskey stones, feeling the sand between her toes and the warmth of the sun on her face. Ceramics and crafts were not just hobbies for Linda; they were expressions of her creative spirit, especially when shared with her granddaughter Sophia and sister Rosie. Her home was a testament to her artistic talents, filled with the beautiful creations that brought her so much happiness.

Linda's life was a reflection of a beautiful quote, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived." Her generosity knew no bounds, and she gave of herself freely, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was the embodiment of selflessness, and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.

As we bid farewell to Linda Ruth Ferguson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the beauty in generosity, the power of creativity, and the importance of selflessness. Linda's memory will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends, and her influence will be felt for generations to come.
