David Frederick Ferrell, age 70, of Wellston, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center of Chillicothe. He was born June 1st, 1954, in Gallipolis, Ohio son of the late George and Helen (Reynolds) Ferrell.
David was a 1972 graduate of Oak Hill High School. He later served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1976. In his younger adult life, David worked as a woodcarver. He also worked for Dana until they closed, and then later worked at and retired from Armstrong Ceiling Tile Manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberlee Ferrell; sister, Debby (Steve) Leedy; sister-in-law, Uta; sister and brother-in-law, Susan (Donald) Skaggs; his children: Christina Shannon, Lynsie (Brian) Salmons, and Zachary Ferrell; grandchildren: Vanessa, Brittany, Tony, Nick, Sophia "Sophia Lump", Kayden, and Leam; nephews: Leif Ferrell, John Deutschle and Ben and their families; and niece, Nina Ferrell.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Ferrell.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 11th, 2024, from 12PM-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2PM with Rev. Kevin Pees officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be sent to .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
