Mr. David E. Foltz

David E. Foltz, 61, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was the Materials Manager at Bhar, Inc. for 10 years. Prior to that, he was an administrator at Wishard Memorial Hospital, in Indianapolis. Dave proudly served in the U.S. Army, as a Ranger, from 1967-1970; and served in Vietnam. He was a graduate of New Haven High School and I.U. He met his wife Karen when they were preschoolers at First Baptist, dated in high school and married on Sept. 5, 1998. Two of his greatest joys were fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Karen, step-son Marc (Julie) Malone, grandchildren Ryan, Kylee and Sam Malone, sister Janice Bell (Bob Bruce). He was preceded in death by his father Orland Foltz, in 1972, and his mother Sara (Pennel) Foltz, Feb. 10, 2009. Celebration of life service is 7:30 p.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with gathering of family and friends at 5 to 7:30 p.m. prior.
