David Foote Obituary

He was born on December 10, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Dorothy Noonan and Alton G. Foote. Throughout life, Dave enjoyed working on his farm and spending time in the wheat fields, while enjoying each moment he was blessed with. He was an avid camper, photographer, and enjoyed the Hiwassee River. A few of his fondest memories include reading and studying the Holy Bible and completed his seminary school at the Tennessee Temple University. He was also a graduate of Cornell University and faithfully served our country with the United States Army.
Dave was a true family man and loved each family member with all his heart, while mentoring to each one about the word of Jesus Christ. He was a faithful and devout husband and father, setting a great example for all the family. He was a strong and gentle man, and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, Dorothy and Alton Foote, he was preceded in death by his one sister, Margaret Gergich.
Left to cherish the many memories include his loving wife of 63 years, Nancy Sanders Foote; beloved children, Stephen (Linda) Staples, Susan Stinson, Jennifer Roggendorff (Terry Hyle), and Darrell (Kelli) Foote; grandchildren, Natalie (Ryan) Guay, Timothy (Erin) Staples, Rebecca (Carmine) Caputo, Gladys Haley, Valerie Stinson, Katelyn Roggendorff, Allie (Chandler) Ray, Allix Foote, and Caleb Foote; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Memorial Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.HigginsFuneral.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to Higgins Funeral Home of Benton.
