David M. Foucher, 74, of Derry, NH, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025, unexpectedly at his home. He was born on August 28, 1950, in Methuen, MA and raised in Lawrence, MA by the late George and Lillian (Thibodeau) Foucher,.
Dave filled his life with joy through his family, and many hobbies. He could often be found in his garden or yard, which Dave was proud to call his own. He knew everything there was to know about world history and geography. Dave and his wife Fran loved spending time together and traveling anytime they could. Dave enjoyed listening and studying music and was an avid concert goer when he was younger. Like any true New Englander, Dave was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to his Patriots. Dave was a volunteer soccer coach and board member holding various leadership positions within the New Hampshire Soccer Association throughout his life. A proud father, Dave's son Ian, followed in his footsteps building a career at ZOLL Medical, just as he did. A proud grandfather, Dave, never missed a moment spent with his granddaughters Lyla and Isabelle. He was sure to never miss a play, practice, or game.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years: Frances M. (Macchio) Foucher, of Derry, NH; their son: Ian Foucher, his wife Lauren, and his Granddaughters Lyla and Isabelle of Manchester, NH; his siblings: Kevin Foucher, and his wife Pam, of Belle Island, Canada, Cherly Harris, and her husband Kenneth, of Carthage, NC, Lyn Clough, and her husband Wayne, Mirror Lake, NH, Lori Hayes, of N. Hampton, NH, and Lisa Owens, and her husband John, Newton, NH; his sister-in-law: Patricia DeMatteo, and her husband Michael, of Hamden, CT; his many nieces and nephews including: Dustin, Patrick, Joe, Andrew, Adam, Eric, Randi, Heather, Shauna, Kari, Michael, and Christopher.
In addition to his parents, Dave is predeceased by his nephew: Jon DeMatteo.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 3-6 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. Dave and I lived together for a year in a small apartment in Somersworth NH. I was a sophomore in college and Dave was still figuring things out. He was always playing harmonica. We lived across the streetfrom the police station. We had a big party one night and many people we did not know crashed the party. The next day while we were out someone broke and stole records and stuff. We used to laugh at how brazen they were to do it right in front of the police station. I will alwaysxremember that kind hearted fun red head.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him years ago at Zoll, and he was such a wonderful person. Friendly, warm, personable... and I know how much he truly adored his granddaughters. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to his wife and family. He was just the nicest man. I will have to catch up on my Goodreads app now and read all of his suggestions!
