William David Fowler, Sr., 84, of Andrews passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at his residence in Andrews with his loving family at his side.
David was born October 29, 1940, in Andrews to Emma Margaret Hobson. He was a retired driver for Sewell Ford and before that he was an operator in the oil field for many years and many different companies. David was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Andrews. He was a very handy auto mechanic, and his family said he was a 'Jack of all Trades" and a "Master of None." He was described as calm, cool, and collective; he was funny and loved making people laugh. David carried around a binder of jokes that he would use often to tell people his latest jokes. His main joy in life was to make people laugh but his overall mission was helping people. There was nothing he would not do for the people that he loved and cared for. They loved him too and all would want him to know that he will never be forgotten.
Survivors include his children, Robert Preston Fowler and his wife Sara Fowler of Omaha, Texas, Eric Wayne Fowler and his wife Brittany De La Cruz of Andrews, Carrie Lynn Anderson and her husband Robert Mauck of Lovington, New Mexico, Betty Sue Tubbs and her husband Jerry Tubbs of Andrews and Priscilla Fowler Stogner of San Angelo; his god daughter Cinthya Arneros;;numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Margaret Reed and her husband Robert H. Reed, siblings, James Allen Reed, Julia Pauline Rich, Jackie Cowlings, Eddie Fowler and Jane Grace and finally his son, William David Fowler, Jr.
Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church located at 507 NE 4th St, Andrews, TX 79714. Burial will follow at Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Justin Fowler, Andy Fowler, Alex Fowler, Robert Mauck, Michael Fowler, Jerry Tubbs, Bradyn McEwen and Woodson McEwen.
The family would like to thank Home Hospice Nursing, especially Mallorie, Selena, Kelly, and Brenda and Home Health Care with Christy and Travis. You all gave our dad such kindness and loving care while he was still with us, which made his final days bearable for us and especially for him. We cannot thank you enough
