David L. Gardner, age 65 of Scotts, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital following a brief illness on February 14, 2025. He was born in South Lyon, MI on December 29, 1959 the son of Marvin and Pearl (Head) Gardner. David attended South Lyon High School and was part of the 1978 graduating class. On July 8, 1989 he would marry the love of his life Sue Ann Quinn at St. Cathrine of Siena Catholic Church. David enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, work hard, enjoy time with family, and archery. He worked for Pfizer in Kalamazoo for nearly 20 years; even getting called back to train employees to fill in his spot, which took 3 years to accomplish. He was a member of the International Bowhunting Organization and ASA Shooters Federation; David loved to target practice and was happy that he could share his passion with his two sons. David and his family were often seen on the lake cruising around on the boat, skiing, fishing, and making wonderful memories as a family. He was a skilled handyman, a trait he learned from his father, and a trait he passed down to his kids. David remodeled his home over the years and even helped his sons with their homes. David loved his family very much, especially his four beautiful grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue Ann Gardner; two sons; Scott (Jill) Gardner and Andrew (Tyler) Gardner; four grandchildren; Noa, Ezra, Silas, and Lydia; four siblings; Jay, Dale, Toni, and Jana. He was preceded in death by his parents; Marvin and Pearl Gardner; and a sister; Tara.
In keeping with family wishes cremation is being conducted. A private family ceremony will take place at a later date. Memories and condolences may be expressed to David's family at eickhofffunerlhome.com

Working with you was always a pleasure. It was nice to learn tricks of the trade when I came over to assist you guys during big pm shutdowns. It was a little over 20 years ago when I came to help you and you told me "It was nice having me help out because you didn't have to babysit me". You are a straight arrow kind of guy and will be missed. Ray Brown
