KLUESNER, Ethel Lynn - Age 61, of Howell passed away, October 23, 2024. Cremation arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel. Memorial Contributions in Ethel's memory would be appreciated to the Humane Society. Ethel was born January 12, 1963, in Detroit, the daughter of Robert and Joyce (Kauppila) Karinen. She married Patrick L, Kluesner in Howell on April 14, 1984. Ethel graduated from South Lyon High School and later received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Eastern Michigan University. She was employed as a Professor in the Communication Department at EMU for over 20 years and also taught at Lansing Community College, she loved teaching and public speaking. Ethel enjoyed gardening, reading, watching hummingbirds, and she loved animals, especially the strays of Musson road that she would always take in. When not at home, you could find her up north at Eagles Landing, enjoying the beaches of Freda MI ,finding beach glass or unique driftwood to collect, and picking thimble berries along the roads.
Ethel is survived by her husband, Patrick; son, Andrew (Aubrey Manchester) Kluesner; daughter, Kelly (Patrick) Wyman; grandchildren, Madison and Quinn Wyman; siblings, Colleen, Audrey, Mark, Rob, and Jason; also, several nieces and nephews.
Ethel was preceded in death by, her parents; brother, Michael Karinen. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
