David Duane Gates, age 64, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, passed away on October 13th, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. David was born on August 19th, 1961 in Rockford, Illinois to parents Robert Franklin Gates and Arlene Elizabeth McMaster. David loved fishing, football, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grand babies. He is survived by his wife Dawn; sons Curtis Gates (Amber) and Bobby Davis (Tiffany); daughter Dylana Woodson (Scotty); brothers Kenneth Gates (Janet) and Brian Gates (Karen); sisters Kimberly Kahn (Rick) and Vickie Gates; grandchildren Harley and Holli Gates. Spencer Woodson, Montana Davis, Jay Lenex and Maverick Davis, as well as by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jim Gates, Terry Gates and Ferrell Gates, as well by his sisters Beverly Hankings and Patricia Ainley.
Services for Mr. Gates will be held on Saturday, October 18th at Wortham Funeral Home Oak Hill Chapel in Hardy, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., with services beginning at 2:00 P.M
