On the morning of February 15, 2023, David Andrew Gedenberg, 49, of Taylors, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home from a glioblastoma brain tumor. He was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on March 18, 1973, and lived in New Ipswich, New Hampshire until moving to Taylors, South Carolina in 2003.
After many years of working in the concrete construction field, he pursued one of his favorite hobbies, auto restoration as a fulltime career. He could be found at most car shows around town. He also enjoyed playing hockey in his free time with his son, Kent.
Dave's Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He was a member of Grace Apostolic Lutheran Church of Campobello, South Carolina. He was a faithful man who loved the Lord, his family, church, and community.
Dave was married to the love of his life, Tammy Holombo Gedenberg. They have four wonderful children, Kent, Mattea, Sienna, and Karigan all of Taylors, South Carolina.
Dave is survived by his wife, Tammy and their four children; his parents, Leonard and Ruth Gedenberg; and siblings, Dan (Jodie) Gedenberg of Clearwater, Florida, Josh (Emily) Gedenberg of La Center, Washington, Mary (Claus) Nyblom of Greer, South Carolina, Rachel (Tim) Anderson of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Anna Gedenberg of Greer, South Carolina, Esther (Curtis) Moore of Iman, South Carolina, and Luke (Bethany) Gedenberg of Campobello, South Carolina; his best friend, Nick and Heidi Somero and family; and his sweet dog, Daisy.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, father-in-law, Curt Holombo, and nephew, Mike Nyblom.
His celebration of life will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Eastside Apostolic Lutheran Church, at 2200 Mays Bridge Road, Greer, conducted by Pastor Steve Anderson and Pastor Dan Hoard. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 12:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
The family is at the home.
