David Leo Gedenberg, 68, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in the comfort of his home, with his beloved family by his side.

David is survived by his devoted wife and caretaker, Brenda (Garnett) Gedenberg; her four children Nick, Ashley, Cassie, and Chris and their many grandchildren; three nephews, Jonathan, Robbie, and Andy. He was predeceased by his sisters, Diane Hoff and Dorine Donnelly.

David was born in Worcester, son of the late Robert and Blanche (Drake) Gedenberg. He was raised and educated in Auburn, graduating from Auburn High School. He had a lengthy career as a Machine Mechanic in plastic manufacturing.

In his free time, David was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a longtime member of the Canal Sportsmen's Club in Cape Cod. He was always one to make a quick unexpected joke.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (www.dana-farber.org/donate), the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate), or to a charity of your choice.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for David's graveside service, which will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Hillside Cemetery, 65 Central Street, Auburn. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
