Tumelo Alice-Beatrice "Tumy" Graveline

Tumelo "Tumy" Alice-Beatrice Graveline was born on July 3, 1992, in Gaborone, Botswana, her name meaning 'faith'; a gift she carried into the world and gave to those who knew her. She passed away far too soon on September 23, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts.

She was the beloved daughter of Hallelujah (Halle) and Mark Graveline, of Auburn, MA; the devoted sister of Lesedi Graveline and her husband Matthew Reynolds, of Berkeley, CA; and the cherished granddaughter of Shirley Graveline, of Oxford, MA. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roger Graveline, her grandmother, Sefshepelo Motlhagodi, and her cousin, Stephen Sweet.

Tumy's greatest joy and most enduring love was her son, Luca Neo Christo, of Arlington, MA. For him, she gave her whole heart and all the strength she could summon. She is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, and cousins in the United States and Botswana, all of whom will hold her memory close.

A graduate of Auburn High School in 2010, Tumy excelled in her studies and shined as an athlete in soccer and track. She was clever, hardworking, and carried a laugh that could lighten any room. She loved the beach, found comfort in the world of Harry Potter, and was a steadfast presence for those she loved.

Though her journey was marked by difficult battles, including struggles she could not finally overcome, Tumy's life was much more than its hardships. She will be remembered for her warmth and the fierce love she gave-especially to her son. Her story, though cut short, remains a testament to resilience and to love's enduring power.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Graveline family between 3 – 7 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday October 2nd at Hillside Cemetery, 65 Central Street, Auburn (a map of the cemetery will be available on the funeral home website). Her memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Living Word Church, 30 Tyler Prentice Avenue, Worcester, MA. All are welcome.
