David Reed Gelinas, 67, of Weare, NH, passed away early Tuesday morning July 15, 2025.

David was born in Manchester in 1957 to Roland and Joan Gelinas, the oldest of four boys. He was a graduate of Raymond High School before receiving his Bachelor's in Business at UMASS Lowell. In college David was an avid track runner and competed in the National Collegiate A.A. He was also proud to have run the Boston Marathon twice.

People that knew David knew that he was a true entrepreneur, starting his first business while in college and had continued success throughout his career. He loved the seacoast. Some of his favorite memories were of his summer jobs on the coast; breakfast cook at a B&B, waiting tables at an upscale restaurant and bartending on the Thomas Leighton cruises to the Isles of Shoales. Later he worked as a Sales Manager at the Portsmouth Computer Center when computers were first becoming a household item. He enjoyed the technology, always interested in having the latest tech gadget.

He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed hosting gatherings. He will always be remembered for cheffing up a fancy meal and singing and dancing to his favorite music.

David's memory will live in the hearts of all those that loved him.

David was predeceased by Roland Gelinas, father, and Daniel Gelinas, brother. He is survived by his wife Cindi Gelinas, three step daughters, Heather Brewer, Brittany Stevens, Tiffany Whaley and two granddaughters, Vivienne and Valerie Stephens; his mother Joan Gelinas, his brothers Deane and Brian Gelinas, nephew Andrew Gelinas, nieces Maddie Gelinas, Jessica Gelinas, Kiley Thompson; sister in law, Noreen Gelinas and several close cousins.

An hour of Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, from 10 – 11 AM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond, NH. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond, NH.

If desired donations may be made in David's memory to: George Davis Track Scholarship Fund, UMASS Lowell, Lowell, MA. 01854
