David Gilbert Obituary
David was predeceased by his father C.B. Jr, Sisters, Angela Karen Layman and Linda Marlene Parlee- Hager, and his nephew David S. De Leon.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon R. Gilbert, mother, Vivian S. Gilbert, children, Jennifer Turner (Corey), Christopher Gilbert (Kristy), Corey Gilbert, Ariel Gilbert and stepson Jermel Jackson. Siblings include Mark Gilbert, Lisa De Leon, Paul Gilbert and James Gilbert. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
David aka Wawa had a great passion for fishing and the outdoors that he shared with his family and friends. His quick wit and bad jokes made him such fun to be around. He loved to sing and enjoyed all types of music. Karaoke was his thing. If music trivia was being played you definitely wanted him as your partner. David was a jack of all trades, a mechanical insulator, able to fix anything. David enjoyed grilling and enjoyed seeing everyone eating. He supported the Alabama Crimson Tide football team and had a man crush on former head coach Nick Saban. David was a unique beautiful person and will be forever missed and deeply loved by his family and friends.
