David Glover, son of the late Frank Glover Sr. and Ollie Curry Glover was born on October 29, 1944 in Dry Branch, Georgia. He departed this life on August 24, 2024. He was the fourth child among thirteen siblings.
At an early age, he joined Laurel Grove Baptist Church in Twiggs County, Georgia.
He attended Jeffersonville Elementary and High School in Jeffersonville, GA. It was at Jeffersonville High School that he met his wife, Mildred Bell. They were married on December 29, 1963. Shortly afterwards they relocated to New Jersey where they started a family and raised six children. David worked hard as one of the best Dry Wall Carpenters around.
He was a member of St. Luke Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ in East Orange, New Jersey. He accepted Christ into his life and labored in the church as a trustee and Deacon. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and always placed a high priority on education.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife Mildred Glover of East Orange, NJ, Children: Wendy Glover of Bloomfield, NJ, Davey Glover (Yolanda) of East Orange, NJ, Carla Glover-White (Kurt) of Orange, NJ,, Darrick Glover of Miami, Florida, Duane Glover (Carla) of Union NJ, Kamiliah Glover of East Orange, NJ, and Stephen Hester of Orange, NJ Grandchildren: LaShonya, Davon, Davion, Jonathan, Hassan, Jeremiah, Darrick Jr., and Divine David. Siblings; Sarah Stephens, Frank Glover Jr. (Anita) of Dry Branch Georgia, Ruby Stephens of Cleveland, Ohio, Rachel Glover Archelus of Orange, NJ, Mack Glover of Tooele, Utah, Doris Glover of Decatur, Georgia, Gladys Glover Watkins of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Linda Glover of Decatur, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
