It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Dave Goss, who left us on 12/10/2024 at the age of 66. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Dave led a life full of love, adventure, and laughter.
Dave had an unwavering love for his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying their company. His love for family was boundless, and he was always ready with a smile, a hug, or a word of wisdom.
An avid golfer, Dave found peace and happiness on the course, often spending countless hours perfecting his swing and enjoying the camaraderie of friends. The outdoors also held a special place in his heart, as he embraced the beauty of nature, whether it was hiking through the woods or relaxing on a sunny afternoon.
Alongside his beloved wife, Mary, Dave enjoyed traveling, exploring new destinations, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. Together, they formed a partnership that was a true testament to love, laughter, and shared experiences.
Dave was also a skilled craftsman, always diving into new projects and building things with his hands. Whether it was creating something special for his home or building something for his children, he took pride in making sure each project was done with love and care. His creativity and hands-on spirit were evident in everything he touched, and he left behind a legacy of the beautiful things he built with his own two hands.
A lover of sports, Dave had a lifelong passion for betting on horses, and he was known for his playful yet competitive nature when it came to his love-hate relationship with the Cubs and the Bears. While his teams may have frustrated him at times, his loyalty and spirit never wavered.
Dave will be remembered for his infectious humor, his loyalty to his loved ones, and his zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to inspire us all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, his children Melissa (Ron) Heidank, Kristin (Mike) Kucera, Kathleen (Nate) Baldwin, Trisha (Greg) Doyle, and his cherished grandchildren Kyler, Rylen, Greydon, Elijah, Adelaide, Oliver, Emmett and Hallie. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Dave. Your love, laughter, and the things you built will forever echo in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on December 22, 2024 from 1-5 p.m. at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Prayers will be held on December 23, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at The Healy Chapel, Sugar Grove and process to St. Katharine Drexel Church, 8S055 Dugan Rd., Sugar Grove, IL.
