He is survived by his beloved wife, Bridget Gray; his cherished children, Callie Dubke (Jamie) and Cory Gray (Rachel); and his adored grandchildren, Nolan, Railee, Jamison, and Blakely. He also leaves behind his loving sister, Jennesse White and his mother, Sheila Gray. David was preceded in death by father Harry Gray, and his brother, Alan Hood, whose memories he carried with him always.
David spent 30 years as a devoted truck driver, a career that reflected his love for the open road and the freedom of travel. He was a true adventurer at heart-whether kayaking through serene waters, exploring the great outdoors, or simply watching the sun set, David found joy in nature's quiet beauty.
Above all, David's greatest accomplishment was his family. He loved them endlessly and took immense pride in the life they built together. His warmth, humor, and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation to honor David will take place Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 1:00pm - 7:00pm at Kernan Funeral Homes-Heritage Chapel, 15748 Fort Street Southgate, MI 48195 with a family sharing service to take place at 6:00pm.

Our heartfelt condolences on your loss for Bridget his wife and for his children and family. And to Sheila his mother. David was such an amazing loving guy and will be missed by all that knew and loved him including us. Please know you all are in our hearts,thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you and guide you thru this time of loss. We love you.
