David Alan Green, 63, passed to eternal life on September 8, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born November 9, 1959, in Whittier, California to Daniel and Patricia Green.
David spent his childhood in Southern California, attending La Habra, CA schools: El Cerrito Elementary, Walnut Elementary, Imperial Junior High, and his freshman and sophomore years at La Habra High School. The summer before his junior year, the family relocated to Springfield, MO, where he attended and graduated from Kickapoo High School with the Class of 1979.
Although David was born with a severe learning disability, he was also born a natural musician. With limited musical instruction, he played "by ear" the piano, organ, French horn, and violin. For decades, he played various keyboards all over the Springfield region: at churches, retirement homes, family gatherings, and, of course, in his own home in Nixa. His gift of music was an extraordinary and miraculous talent.
David was a unique, special man aware of his intellectual weaknesses, compensating for what he lacked with genuine friendliness, kindly endearing himself to the hearts of many who knew him. He was faithful in worship attendance and in the support of the local church. He loved animals, especially dogs and dolphins. He was fond of first responders.
David is survived by his two brothers: Daniel Wayne and wife, Cindy, of Springfield; and Douglas Edwin and wife, Brenda, of Brea, California. He is also survived by his four nieces and one nephew: Kati Ileen and husband, Justin Cranmer; Ashly Merleen and husband, Brandon Newlon; Jocelyn Marie and husband, Bryant Donaldson; Charisse Elizabeth, and husband, Christopher Groh; and Paul Douglas Green. Additionally, he is survived by seven great-nieces and nephews: Madison Bella, Caleb Jeremiah, Gideon Elijah, Lily Grace, Oliver Lee, Zea Thomas, and James Elwood.
We will miss David in this earthly life, longing to see him again in eternity. He is reunited with his dad and mom and other loved ones in our Heavenly Father's house, joining in the worship of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Forever.
"So, we do not give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day. We have small troubles for a while now, but they are helping us gain an eternal glory. That glory is much greater than the troubles. So, we set our eyes not on what we see but on what we cannot see. What we see will last only a short time. But what we cannot see will last forever." – 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. (International Children's Bible).

Graveside Service: Friday, September 22 at 4 pm at Hazel Green Cemetery (Boulder City, MO).
