David Alfred "Dave" Guichard, 76, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a proud veteran, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 1, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Vickie J. (Bierman) Guichard, with whom he shared 35 cherished years of marriage.
Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on November 20, 1948, Dave was the son of the late Roger Maurice and Yvonne Emma (Levesque) Guichard. He attended Nashua schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School.
Dave honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, dedicating 17 years to military service until his retirement. His time in uniform was marked by courage, loyalty, and a deep sense of duty to his country.
Following his military service, Dave found a new passion in the automotive industry. He began working at Decelles Auto Clinic on Lake Street in Nashua and, in 1996, fulfilled his entrepreneurial dream by purchasing the business with his wife, Vickie. Together, they successfully operated Decelles until 2012, when Dave happily retired.
In his younger years, Dave was a skilled and passionate bass fisherman. As time went on, he found joy in camping and traveling locally with his family in their motorhome. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Dave was a dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his granddaughter, Lilyan, at her softball games, where his pride and love were evident in every cheer. Above all, Dave treasured time spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
In addition to his wife, Vickie, Dave is survived by his son, Jeff Dionne, and his wife, Amber and their daughter Lilyan of Merrimack; NH, his sister, Denise Y. Guichard-Zeidman, and her husband, Harris, of Alton Bay, NH; and his brother, Marc Guichard of Nashua, NH. He also leaves behind his niece, Cheyenne Irish; his nephews, Travis Irish, Marcus Guichard, and Wills Fisher; his great-nieces, Kamilah and Kailynn; his great-nephew, Conlan; his mother-in-law, Ida Rose Bierman; and his brother-in-law, David Bierman, and his wife, Margie.
Dave was predeceased by his parents, his brother Peter Guichard, and his father-in-law, Robert Bierman.
Dave's legacy is one of love, dedication, and service. As a husband, he was a devoted partner who shared countless beautiful memories with Vickie. As a father and grandfather, he was a source of unwavering support, guidance, and pride. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to attend Dave's visitation on MONDAY, February 10th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Rochette Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. A presentation of military honors will be held during his visitation at 5:00 PM. His interment will take place privately at the convenience of his family.
