David Charles Hacker, son of the late Philip and Hazel Hacker, passed away in Albuquerque, NM, July 19, 2025. He was father to Chase, brother to Phil (Shannon), Nancy (Mark), Susan (Joe), Carol (Rick), and uncle to Erica and Philip.
He was an avid sports fan. He could rattle off stats like a broadcaster, no matter the sport. Dave loved playing or watching any sport, but his first love was soccer. A three-time all-state soccer goalie at Cibola High School and several select teams. He thrived on competition.
He kept his quick wit and ability to make all laugh throughout his life. He was just so funny. His friends and family will always remember him as a smart and caring soul.
Dave leaves a large hole in the hearts of his siblings that time will only heal so far.
A private family burial will be held in Albuquerque.
We ask that you please share your memories of Dave in the guestbook section below.
