David Timothy (Tim) Hafley, age 71, peacefully passed into the presence of Jesus on February 26, 2025. He was at his home in Somerville, Alabama, with his wife by his side.
He was born on February 22, 1954, in Paducah, Kentucky. He grew up and graduated high school in the area of Birmingham, Alabama. He later met and married Blenda "Angel" Hardy and together they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to attend Bible School. In 1987, they returned to Alabama and he started his own carpet cleaning business. In addition to doing carpet cleaning, dyeing and repairs, he later added fire and water damage restoration. He did quality work and enjoyed seeing his customers pleased with a job well done.
David (Tim) loved life and lived in the moment. He genuinely enjoyed other people and loved getting together with his and his wife's large extended families. He loved all kinds of animals, playing the guitar, reading books and studying the Bible.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Hafley, mother Wanda Mayfield, father-in-law, G.W. Hardy, mother-in-law, Margie Hardy, sister-in-law, Lynne Walker, a number of aunts and uncles from his family and his wife's family, as well as several cousins. He is survived by his wife, Blenda "Angel" Hafley, sister Dianne (Joe) Dalby, brother Rodney Hafley, sister-in-law, Glenna Kyle, several aunts and uncles, many cousins as well as several nieces and nephews.
David (Tim) is being cremated and plans for a Memorial Service have not been decided. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to Minister David Jeremiah's television program "Turning Point" which was a wonderful blessing to David (Tim) during the past year.
