Mr. David Harold Lowery, age 75, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church (McFarlan, NC) by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. Lowery was born on February 25, 1949 in Newport News, VA a son of the late Willie Clayton and Josephine Brooks Lowery. David enjoyed gardening and giving away the produce that he grew. He loved grilling as well as getting his friends and family together for barbecues. Mr. Lowery enjoyed being outdoors especially if he was on a tractor. He also enjoyed working on, and restoring antique tractors. Most of all, David loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Lowery, Dorothy Lowery, and Charles Lowery.
Survivors include his children, Ivy Lowery (Josh) Gardner of Chesterfield, SC, David R. (Beth) Lowery of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Scarlett, Finn, Bella, Jaxon; siblings, Donnie (Mildred) Lowery of McFarlan, NC, Lonnie Ray Lowery of Wadesboro, NC, Mary (Devoide) Teal of Cheraw, SC; sister-in-law, Dottie Ann Lowery of Chesterfield, SC; “brother from another mother”, Bo Ross of Cheraw, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Chesterfield VFW Post 11251, 128 Evergreen Ln. Chesterfield, SC 29709.
